This is a representative sample pack for organic hand woven fabrics made by Aavaran, a weaver’s cooperative in Madhya Pradesh, India. Organic cotton is produced by farmer’s by farmers in a cluster of villages near the Aavaran workshop. Yarn used for weaving the fabric is GOT certified. Azo free chemical dyes are used for printing. Aavaran has plans to introduce vegetable dyes for printing their fabrics.

The sample pack includes 13 swatches, each approximately 4.5 inches by 7 inches. There are 8 samples of printed fabrics, and five of unbleached fabrics. The unbleached fabrics can be bleached white. Some of them can be supplied in colours of your choice.

The pack will come from a draw string bag made from unbleached khadi.

Nimar Collection Sample Pack

The Nimar Collection Sample pack presents 13 hand woven fabrics. Hand woven from organic cotton grown in Nimar region of central India. Nimar is a predominantly tribal region. The fabric is woven Aavaran in Kasrawad, a small town of Khargone district in Madhya Pradesh. Aavaran was founded and is supported by Biore Foundation.

The cotton with which the yarn is made comes from a cluster of villages near Kasrawad. The yarn used for making the fabric is GOT certified. The fabric is yarn dyed with Azo free chemicals. It can be made in colours of your choice.
